Publishing Marketing & Communications Intern

Practical Action Publishing is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual in the UK who can help to coordinate the day to day sales, marketing and communications surrounding all Practical Action Publishing’s published content.This is real opportunity to develop your expertise and profile in publishing, marketing and communications.

In this role you will support the Sales, Marketing and Systems Executive in delivery of marketing plans at a company and product level. Special projects may also be assigned from time to time. Tasks may include: assisting with the design of promotion campaigns and materials, market research, sourcing reviews and course adoptions, online marketing including social media and collating reports on campaign results and online usage statistics.

This role is an entry level position within the publishing company and ideally suited to candidates that may be working towards a higher qualification in Publishing, Marketing or Communications. 

We are looking for a committed and creative individual. Interest or experience of academic or professional publishing and/or international development would be useful.

Publishing Editorial and Production Intern

Practical Action Publishing is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual in the UK who can help to coordinate the day to day production of all Practical Action Publishing’s published content. This is real opportunity to develop your expertise and profile in publishing, media and design.

In this role you will support the Editorial and Production Executive and the Editorial Content Manager in delivery of all aspects of editorial and production work including books, journals and other publications. Special projects may also be assigned from time to time. Tasks may include: liaison with authors and editors, checking content submitted complies with publishing standards, basic amendments to files, assisting author to submit content via our online submission systems and updating reports.

This role is an entry level position within the publishing company and ideally suited to candidates that may be working towards a higher qualification in Publishing or Media and Design.

We are looking for a committed and creative individual. An interest or experience of academic or professional publishing would be advantageous although not required.
