From our foundation in 1974 as Intermediate Technology Publications Ltd, the provision of information about best practices and the analysis of policy options in international development, especially relating to technology, have been at the core of our work.
As a not-for-profit enterprise working in alignment with the development work pursued by the other members of the Intermediate Technology Development Group, Practical Action Publishing seeks to publish quality books and make them available to readers throughout the world. Any profit generated by the publishing activity is ploughed back into the work of Practical Action.
